Is canned water better for you than bottled water?

Canned water is better both in terms of how safe the water is and how good it is for the environment. 

Plastic bottles are made from PET, which can release microplastics over time, especially when exposed to heat. Aluminum cans avoid that, but some of them have a protective liner that contains bisphenol A (BPA). A report from the Center for Environmental Health found that about 40% of cans tested still contained BPA linings. Many brands, including mainelove, use BPA-NI (BPA-Non Intent) liners. If you're buying canned water, look for cans labeled BPA-NI or BPA-free. 

If microplastics are your bigger concern, canned water has the edge because the water never comes into contact with plastic. Canned water is also better for the environment because the cans themselves can be recycled again and again, infinitely.
